20 years in Vattiyoorkavu
Gents Camp opened in 2006 and has been on the same street ever since. That is the whole story, and it is the part that matters: the barber who cuts your hair has probably cut your neighbour's, and quite possibly your father's.
A walk-in shop, on purpose
There is no booking system here and there never has been. People come when they are free, wait a little if the chairs are full, and get seen. On a weekday afternoon there is usually no wait at all. On a Saturday there is.
If waiting is the thing you cannot do, message the shop before you leave home and someone will tell you honestly how the chairs look. That is faster than any booking form and it is how the regulars already do it.
The team
The barbers are all Malayali, most of them long-serving. They understand what people locally ask for and they keep current with what people are asking for now, which is a harder combination to hold than it sounds. Sanju, who leads the shop, is the one grooms book for their wedding morning.
Families are a large part of the work. Seventeen separate Google reviews mention how the shop is with children, which is not a thing you can train into a room. It comes from barbers who are willing to wait for a nervous five-year-old.

Everyone is welcome here
Gents Camp is listed on Google as an LGBTQ+ friendly business. It is a men's salon and it is a neighbourhood one, which means the person in the next chair is your neighbour, and everyone gets the same chair and the same care.
Come in, or ask us first
Gents Camp is a walk-in shop. If you would rather not wait, message us and we will tell you how busy the chairs are before you leave home.
